Dog Training Collars - Choosing The Correct Door Training Success

The right choice of training collar can have a significant impact on the success of dog training. Most new dog trainers make the mistake of choosing a dog collar that does not allow adequate control during the training sessions.

During my nearly four years working with dogs, I have seen dog collars in many sizes and shapes. Components of the head leaders of necklaces, the options available for dog owners are endless. However, in my experience in training, I have not seen a training collar as effective as the classic choke collar.

The choke chain is a basic tool for effective training that can be used in almost any size dog (for very small dogs, a nylon dog collar may be preferable). When used properly, correct the dog and the response is almost immediate.

The key to using a choke chain is actually to keep the dog collar loose when the dog is an appropriate behavior. For example, if your dog to walk without pulling ahead, the choke chain must remain free. If the dog begins to pull forward, a quick "pop" or tightening the collar will teach the dog that unwanted behavior has occurred. As soon as the dog's behavior is corrected, the neck is loose again.

Using the technique of application and release the dog quickly learns to associate good behavior with a hose in bulk. If the collar was to be constantly tightened, the dog will only learn to fight against the suffocating sensation.

Regardless of the type of collar you choose, it is essential that the dog collar fit properly and give you one, maximum control over the dog trainer.
